The 2024/2025 academic session was a season of glowing achievements and outstanding performance for Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College Benin, as our students continued to raise the banner of academic excellence across several fronts. Through rigorous training, exposure to competitive platforms, and a commitment to holistic education, the school distinguished itself in various local, state, and national competitions and examinations. Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College Benin proudly produced the Overall Best Student in the prestigious Annual Scholarship Competition organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Benin City Section 116.
Our student, initially registered under the Mathematics Maestro category, demonstrated unparalleled brilliance and analytical skills that cut across all categories. Against stiff competition from students across various schools in the state, he emerged the Overall Best in the entire competition, bringing great honour to the school.
2. National Digital Literacy Competition - CloudNotte
In the highly competitive National Digital Literacy Competition, organized by CloudNotte, Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College Benin students proved their digital intelligence. Two students emerged 4th and 6th best nationwide, showcasing their outstanding digital skills and technological proficiency.
The award ceremony held in Port Harcourt was a proud moment for the school as our students represented us with confidence and brilliance among peers from across Nigeria.
3. Best Speaker - Annual Inter-School Debate (Catholic Intercessory Academy)
Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College Benin continues to distinguish itself in literary and oratory engagements. At the Annual Inter-School Debate organized by Catholic Intercessory Academy Benin, our representative displayed exceptional eloquence, depth of reasoning, and mastery of debate etiquette, earning the coveted title of Best Speaker of the Competition.
4. First Position - Read and Win Literary Contest (Maiden Edition)
In the Maiden Edition of the Read and Win Literary Competition, Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College Benin emerged First Position in the literary contest category.
This achievement is a testament to the school's continuous efforts in promoting literacy, critical thinking, and creativity among its students.
5. Mathematics Ambassador Competition - African Mathematics Project
Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College Benin dominated the Mathematics Ambassador Competition, organized by the African Mathematics Project, across all year group categories. The results were as follows:
- Year Seven: 1st, 2nd, and 4th Positions
- Year Eight: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Positions
- Year Nine: 1st, 2nd, and 5th Positions
- Year Ten: 1st and 4th Positions
These exceptional results reflect the school's robust Mathematics curriculum, skilled educators, and the zeal of our students for excellence.
6. Outstanding Performance in 2025 Matriculation Examination
EHJ Model College recorded exceptional performance in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). A total of 26 students were registered by the school.
- About 50% of the students scored above 300
- Nine students scored above 250
- No student scored below 200
This performance reflects the school's solid curriculum, effective mentoring, and rigorous academic preparation.
